Shuhei Tonami

Photographer. While still a university student, he apprenticed under photographer Tsuyoshi Hosokawa and began photographing with “everyday life” as his central theme, shaped by his experience living in an old house.

After graduating, he relocated to the southern foothills of the Yatsugatake Mountains, where he now lives with his three daughters, a dog, a cat, and two goats, continuing to photograph the everyday scenes that unfold around him.

Currently based between Tokyo and Yatsugatake, he maintains a dual-location practice. In 2025, he held a solo exhibition, LANDING LAND, at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art.
