Eternal I in glacier-colored eyes,
Poesy descending a small line
An exotic snail blooming in the shape of abandonment
People are not sentimental because there is a heart
Not rejoicing because there is a heart
But having a heart because there is something to rejoice in here
Water also a salamander of taste shimmer a smile

異邦のかたつむりは放心の形に咲き

人が有情であるのは心があるからではない
心があるから歓ぶのではなく
歓ぶことがあるから心あるのだ ここの
水にも 風狂の山椒魚 微光 微笑

Author of several poetry collections, including Segment Kakera hen (Shichosha, 2006); Sleepy Islands (Shichosha, 2012), which was awarded the 63rd H Prize; Ear, Bamboo Leaf Boat (Shichosha, 2015), which received the 54th Toson Memorial Prize of Rekitei; Asian Dream (Shichosha, 2019); and Poem on Solitariness of Drifted Snow (Shichosha, 2022). Member of the Japan Poets Association. Guest associate professor at Gakushuin University.
